What happens to your photo

Your selected photo stays on this device until you submit it. Submission uploads a private copy for server checks and AI processing through OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol via the Lovable AI Gateway. It is not posted publicly.

We remove location and camera metadata before processing. We attempt to delete the stored photo after successful processing. Failed or abandoned uploads become due for deletion after 24 hours.

Cleanup runs every 1 hour, in up to 4 batches of 50 photos per run. Due photos normally wait until the next run; a backlog or deletion failure can delay removal. Failed deletions retain their references for retry, and sessions with remaining photos are not deleted.

Accepted reports and their translations are retained for 30 days; the anonymous browser session lasts 30 days from last use. You can request deletion from your report. A deletion error is shown so you can retry.

Our stored-photo deletion does not promise immediate erasure of provider copies or logs. We request store:false where supported, but provider retention and training restrictions have not been independently verified. Production analytics are disabled; the prepared event contract excludes photo, report and private-link data.

Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

We use Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) to measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases. When permitted, Google's tag sets cookies and receives: the ad click, the page visited, fixed step names (check started, photo uploaded, free score shown, checkout started) and, for a purchase, the order reference, amount and currency. We never send photos, scores, report content, emails or private report links.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (and where we cannot determine your region) this only happens after you accept in the cookie notice. Elsewhere it runs by default. You can accept, decline or withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; a withdrawal takes effect immediately. Your choice, its time and the notice version are stored in your browser.
